All of Me by B. Echols

Shades and shadows of hue cover me, And in the mist I see the horizon of my iniquities
covering Your splendor...
But your spirit seems to linger….
I just don’t understand…
Rescued from a torment so tremendous, from a persecution so great,
And time after time, I still wrestle with my fate.
You have given so much and I so little in return,
For in my own selfish desires and evil lust I seek to burn.
Spinning at times my own web of deception,
Rendering power to my own misconception.
Of who you are, what you will be or which side of me you choose to see
Despite my own confusion, there is much more to you…
To the depth of your love,
To the height of your being,
To the breadth of your soul,
And to the discretion of your seeing.Beyond my fleshly exterior,
You scope the interior.
Holding and molding me,
In spite of all I have done.
