No Hands, No Vision = Incomplete Mission

Marrying someone that doesn’t fervently pray or seek the LORD is like having a quarterback with no hands.  The quarterback’s (QB’s) job is to receive the ball (vision) from the center (Christ), and distribute it to the team (his family).  Many men no doubt have the arm to cast the ball (vision), but only a few are devoted and disciplined enough to develop the arm and accuracy needed to complete the pass (mission).  The best QB’s are the ones who spend the most time watching film (life), and studying and memorizing the playbook (the bible).  Also it’s imperative that the QB can tune out the noise of the crowd and hear the voice of the play caller (the Holy Spirit), for He is the only one that knows the thoughts of the head coach (God).

“For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?  Even so the thoughts of God no one knows
except the Spirit of God.” – 1 Corinthians 2:11

To my sister’s in Christ, as difficult as it may be, please continue to be still and wait for God to draft the QB (qualified brother) for the team He desires to build for His glory through your family.  Do not be discouraged by those who are no longer available that you had hoped on drafting.  Remember, although David was the last to be picked by man, he was the first to be picked by God to be the king of Israel (1 Sam 16).  So in the meantime, get prepared and develop your hands, because a great QB without a Receiver that can catch the ball (vision) will always result in an incomplete pass (mission).
