Chrysler: Imported From Detroit
Detroit automaker Chryser announced on Monday August 1, 2011 that they were releasing a stirring gospel version of Eminem's "Lose Yourself" to follow up to their "Imported from Detroit" Super Bowl commercial. The Yuinon was selected along with 6 other organizations to receive 100% of all sale proceeds, included song royalties that will be funneled by Chrysler and Eminem's song publisher.
The 3rd Annual Ambassadors of the Year
Our founder and current CEO Jason Wilson was recognized as one of nine individuals that have not only made exceptional contributions to the worlds of philanthropy, sports, health care, and politics, but also are shining examples of the strength of character found in residents across Metro Detroit, and true ambassadors of our beloved city and state.
Yelp Helps: Detroit
On June 15, 2011, Yelp (a national organization that aims to connect people with great businesses & organizations) selected sixteen Detroit area non-profits for their first ever "Yelp Helps Detroit"! We, the Yuinon along with the other great non profit organizations educated a packed house at the delicious Italian eatery Café Cortina in Farmington Hills Michigan about the work we all do and how those in attendace could help.
NAACP Freedom Weekend
The Yuinon had the honor of hosting a youth forum on the Hip Hop culture at the NACCP Freedom Weekend in Detroit Michigan. The forum included appearances by NBA Champion John Salley, host of "The Best Damn Sports Show", Shawn Robinson host of "Access Hollywood' and Darrin Dewitt Henson, actor.
