Niche
We all have a divine purpose to fulfill
a body with many parts, but it can’t
function if you’re still sittin’ still
The only ones with the privilege to spectate
are those who’ve already traversed the
heavenly gates, a great cloud of witnesses
is how they’re described, are they cheering
for you or covering their eyes
in disappointment and grief
as you stagnate in your belief
content with baby steps
but unwilling to take a leap- of faith
you all in the next lane, runnin’ somebody else’s race
See, God’s kingdom, like His intricate
ecosystem is niche specific
Where do you fit?
There’s no room for those
who are apathetic or indifferent
When you sung I surrender all
Did you meant it?
Or do you take volitional license
like I just did, obeying when you feel like it
reppin’ Christ when it’s comfortable or convenient
See until you walk in your destiny, you’ll have
what I call the unscratchable itch
it’s only soothed by God’s perfect will
find your niche.
