Before we may ever move forward
Sometimes we just have to fall back
And look down every so often
To see if we’re still on track
Continuing to walk these ordered steps
So the path I travel is straight
As long as I hunger for the word
There can’t be too much on my plate
He’ll never put more on me
Than I’ll be able to bear
But whenever I start to struggle
I know that He’ll always be there
Even though my steps are ordered
I know I’ll stumble along the way
Because ordered steps are hard to take
The more I walk, the more they weigh
I’m trying to walk just like you
But can’t do it on my own
So your life is my guiding light
That lets me find my way home
When I can’t take one more step
I want to fly like a bird
But until that day comes
Please order my steps in your Word
